Senior Sales Executive

As part of our growing international sales team, you will focus primarily on developing and scaling our business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Your key objective will be to identify potential customers and lead the sales process in order to build a network of leads and sign contracts in your territory.

Both independently and with the aid of local sales partners, the Sales Executive will be capable of using their previous focused SaaS experience to close business.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a sales strategy adapted to your territory together with the manager and the technical team.
  • Develop high‑quality market research jointly with the rest of the Akur8 team.
  • Network and promote Akur8 during local events related to insurance and technology.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage decision makers for new opportunities.
  • Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand their challenges and objectives, and prioritise opportunities.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, pitch to and negotiate with C‑Level executives.
  • Build strong, long‑lasting relationships with strategic prospects and clients.
  • Suggest new ideas and approaches to improve our product, based on client expectations.

You will preferably be based in Munich. Travelling for business generation, development, and participation in events will be required.

Qualifications

Professional Experience

  • 6+ years of B2B sales experience or account management.
  • Experience working in a technology company, consulting firm, or (re)insurance company or brokerage.

Hard Skills

  • ‘Pioneer’ mindset and ability to open new markets, interacting with C‑UO/CTO/Risk Management teams.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Capacity for detailed analysis and for converging to actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with experience selling to senior executives.
  • Familiarity with sales protocols, SaaS company processes, CRMs, and Slack communication.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
  • Ability to build an effective account business strategy.
  • Understanding of how to work with technical teams in a global company.

Soft Skills

  • Personal drive for high‑performance delivery in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence for effective teamwork and client interactions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability across multiple topics.

  • Level‑headedness required to close business for contracts ranging from 100k–300k up to 1m–1.2m.

Language Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English and native level in German.
  • Additional languages are a definite bonus.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience working at a SaaS company.
  • Technical fluency on cloud architecture, API and integration, and IT project delivery.
  • P&C insurance industry experience.
