THE ROLE:
The Senior Security Architect (m/f/d) leads the design and improvement of product and information security technologies within IGEL. The architect (m/f/d) coordinates, manages, develops, and improves security technologies in both product and infrastructure. The architect (m/f/d) is the main point-of-contact for technical configurations and solutions for Development, QA and IT.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and monitor technologies and markets for innovations and improvements.
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of concepts for secure products and infrastructure
- Development, implementation, and improvement of secure coding standards in software development
- Execution and support of security assessments, reviews and vulnerability management procedures and manage the remediation of their results
- Definition and coordination of security controls and remediations with developers, dev ops engineers and IT-administrators
- Foster knowledge exchange with research institutions, universities, and R&D partners, and incorporate knowledge regarding new security aspects in our product concepts
- Development and execution of developer trainings with focus on secure coding
- Develop, define and coordinate the evolution of Product Security architecture
- Develop, maintain, and improve a Product Security strategy in accordance with IGEL’s goals and activities
- Managing the identification, monitoring, and remediation of product security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks
- Planning, implementing, and improving effective and efficient product security controls
- Planning, implementing, maintaining, and training necessary product security documentation
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to find compromises between security and operational requirements and to defined efficient and effective solutions
- Deep knowledge in modern security controls and best-practices
- Knowledge in both Software and Security architecture principles
- Ability to design and lead workshops for developers, enabling them to translate concepts into implementation.
- Minimum of six to nine years related experience
- Highly skilled, works on complex projects
- Works under minimal supervision
- Wide latitude for independent judgment
