About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and versatile Senior Site Technician to support the daily operations of our data center in Stuttgart. This hands‑on role is essential for ensuring uptime, supporting customer deployments, managing both physical infrastructure and connectivity operations, and maintaining smooth and secure facility performance.

The ideal candidate will have a background in critical environments, strong technical knowledge across mechanical/electrical systems and IT connectivity, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on critical systems, including power, cooling, and BMS.
• Monitor building management systems (BMS), identify anomalies or alarms, and take corrective actions.
• Support customer installations, cross‑connects, remote hands activities, and troubleshooting requests.
• Ensure proper cable management, accurate labelling, and clear documentation of all customer‑related activities.
• Coordinate and supervise third‑party vendors for repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Request quotes and budgets for required work, and verify vendor completion reports.
• Maintain timely and accurate records of site activities, customer interventions, and incidents.
• Respond to urgent alarms and technical issues, both remotely and on‑site, as part of an on‑call rotation (one week at a time).
• Ensure strict adherence to operational, health & safety, and security procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Center Lead and operations team to deliver seamless service.

What We’re Looking For

• Background in data centers or other critical environments such as maritime, offshore, oil & gas, or large‑scale facilities.
• Technical knowledge across both mechanical/electrical systems and IT connectivity operations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues under pressure.
• Basic understanding of IT networks, cabling standards, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Fluency in English or German is required; knowledge of both languages is a strong advantage.
• Flexibility to participate in a rotating on‑call schedule.
