We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Software Engineerto join our team. This individual will be responsible for the DS cloud-based offerings and drive systematic implementation of services and components with best practices.




Senior Software Engineer I (m/f/d)




Key Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code adhering to architecture and technical standards.
• Provide technical leadership, identify weaknesses, minimize technical debt, and recommend improvements.
• Drive the technical implementation of business features, ensuring seamless realization of requirements.
• Collaborate closely with TechLead and PO to clarify and negotiate requirements.
• Analyze assignment alternatives and plan work through WBS and time estimation.
• Report progress, raise issues, and provide solutions.
• Ensure high test coverage, implement best practices, and fix defects in code.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and support the product owner in defining epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure unit and integration tests are in place for all implementations.
• Collaborate with other teams to define APIs and maintain effective communication.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies by reading research papers and attending conferences.
• Mentor and coach fellow software engineers.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.



Requirements And Qualifications




Education

Bachelors, Mastersor PhD in computer science or related engineering disciplines.




Years and Type of Experience

• Several years of experience as a software engineer.
• History of delivered commercially successful software products.
• Experience with multiple programming languages (such as Golang, Flutter/Dart).
• Experience building successful commercial SaaS and/or PaaS.
• Experience in full stack development is big plus, building (web) multi-tiers applications from front-end to back-end.
• Experience in CI/CD, Containerization (Docker) and Cloud Computing (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes).
• Experience in the field of medical technology and the development of medical devices is an advantage.
• Experience in dealing with cybersecurity requirements in the medical device environment is advantageous.
• Experience in leading technical teams is a plus.

• Ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Very good knowledge of frontend and backenddevelopment best practices.
• Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German advantageous.
• Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge.

• Open-minded, communicative, and strong commitment.
• High degree of initiative, commitment, and goal orientation.
