Senior Solutions Architect, Healthcare & Life Sciences, AWS Germany

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS Solutions Architects collaborate with AWS Sales and other AWS teams to address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

As a trusted customer advocate, Solutions Architects help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and provide advice on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud. You’ll drive successful business outcomes across a broad set of enterprise customers through your passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Working directly with strategic customers to accelerate their challenging, mission-critical projects and recommending best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes
• Building technical relationships with customers and operating as their trusted advisor
• Sharing the voice of the customer to inform the roadmap of AWS features
• Participating in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures
• Evangelizing and educating about AWS through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences
• Contributing to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by interviewing candidates and having a voice in hiring decisions
• Developing areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer's outcomes

A day in the life of a Solutions Architect involves working hand in hand with AWS customers to help them make the most of the Cloud, combining business and technology, and engaging with organizations at all stages of cloud adoption.

Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures
• 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• Solid verbal and written German language skills

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates have:

• Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking
• Experience working with end-user or developer communities
• Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
• Working experience in the Healthcare or Lifescience domain
