    Shippo is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our dynamic and entrepreneurial team. You will own and lead a book of strategic accounts, in which you will drive cross functional internal projects, identify and retain customers graduating through their fulfillment journey, manage internal and external stakeholders and contribute to new initiatives to achieve strong commercial outcomes for Shippo. Your experience in managing external partners or customers within the logistics software space will set you up for success at Shippo and we would love to share the opportunity with you.

    Shipping & Handling Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent service, research, and market analysis to resolve technical and financial challenges with accounts and better represent our users, products, and programs. 
  • Develop comprehensive partnership strategies using excellent business judgment to negotiate renewals, upsell potential opportunities & drive favorable commercial outcomes for Shippo.
  • Engage with accounts to understand opportunities for operational improvement, and liaise with our product team to bring those improvements to life.
  • Serve as an expert consultant to our accounts; engage cross-functionally to drive your merchant’s businesses and build effective relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Analyze performance and present findings to clients, highlighting opportunities or introducing incremental programs. Contribute data-driven insights to support recommendations. 
  • Leverage cross-functional support teams to ensure accounts have access to the product experts and resources they need.
  • Identify indicators of graduation in a customer’s fulfillment journey in order to make recommendations for the next step in shipping solutions within the Shippo network
  • Build trusted relationships with customer executive sponsors and supply chain/IT stakeholders
  • Help forecast/manage a pipeline of shipment volume and revenue expectations and targets
  • Serve as escalation contact for implementation or system issues
  • Partner cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Customer Support, and Product teams

  • Do you tick the boxes?

  • 5+ years in enterprise software account management, preferably in shipping, WMS, TMS, or label software
  • Experience working with technology partners through integrations, product management, program management, and business development engagements 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience identifying and responding to indicators a customer needs a new fulfillment solution
  • Churn indicators even when not directly related to the product in use
  • Skilled at C-level communication, negotiation
  • You are well-versed in basic Excel (or SQL), Looker, or other Business Intelligence tools
  • You are detail-oriented with a proven track record of solving strategic challenges 
  • You are an organized note taker and able to track multiple priorities at once.
  • You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to see mutually beneficial opportunities with partners 
  • You are technically oriented and understand APIs
  • You have an entrepreneurial, growth mindset, bold ideas, and a know-how attitude to get things done

  • Our Compensation Shippolicy:
    We believe compensation is a custom experience and are commited to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min is $108k to a max $147k annual salary (base + incentive). We tend to anchor our pay in the middle of this range ($125k). Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.

This means, through our remote-first program, “Shippos Everywhere”, our roles can be based anywhere in the US with the exception of Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Hawaii, New Mexico and West Virginia and many roles can be based internationally.
