(Senior) Technical Marketing Manager

We are looking to strengthen our international innovation team for natural functional ingredients in the cosmetic industry. The position is ideally based at our headquarters in Hamburg, Germany.

Tasks

  • In our international Personal Care team, you will be responsible for the conception and implementation of the worldwide marketing strategy of our award‑winning portfolio of German‑made ester specialties.
  • In close cooperation with our Research, Application and Sales departments, you develop Ingredients’ Unique Selling Points, positioning and recommend sales strategies, and drive innovation award dossiers with Business Unit Management.
  • You train and support our sales teams and distributors in the use and marketing of our product portfolio, and centralise the organisation of customer seminars, workshops and exhibitions together with our marketing department.
  • You collect and analyse market feedback and trends, monitor competitor activities and continuously improve product strategy and positioning.
  • As a key pillar of our internal and external communication, you design and present our marketing materials, and together with our marketing department develop the Business Unit communication (social media, newsletters, media plan).
  • You join the sales team to represent our company at trade fairs, events or conferences.

Profile

  • Sales or marketing experience with a technical background, preferably a university degree (or equivalent) in cosmetic sciences, formulation, biology, chemistry or related fields.
  • Professional experience in ingredient marketing and a passion for raw materials in the personal‑care industry; ability to analyse market data and translate insights into product strategies.
  • Result‑oriented, self‑reliant, with strong communication skills and commitment.
  • Creative thinker able to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong sales and customer orientation, perseverance, and a solution‑oriented attitude.
  • Readiness for occasional business trips (≤20%) and fluency in spoken and written English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong teamwork skills and openness.
  • 30 days vacation per year; permanent, full‑time position.
