Senior Technical Officer (m/f/d)




Job Objective

Lead and oversee all technical service operations and procurement activities for assigned vessels, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Act as a strategic partner to the Technical Superintendent, contributing to budget planning, cost control, and long-term asset management.
Monitor, analyze, and report vessel performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Support and enhance the company’s maintenance and procurement strategies, ensuring they meet defined KPIs and contribute to overall fleet reliability and cost efficiency.
Mentor and guide junior technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and timely decision-making.
Provide leadership and operational guidance to the Technical Officers and Procurement team based in Mumbai, ensuring effective coordination, performance management, and alignment with global standards




Requirements

Education & Work Experience:

• Commercial qualification with experience in the Shipping Industry
• 2-3 years in handling vessels
• Certification Management
• Interest in all vessel related processes including Purchasing


Job Specific Skills

• Structured and organized working style
• Keen to work in an international and dynamic environment
• Advanced English language skills
