Senior Windchill System Administrator

Job Description

Infosys is looking for a Senior Windchill System Administrator to manage installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of PTC Windchill systems. The role ensures system stability, performance, and security while supporting enterprise-wide PLM initiatives across engineering and manufacturing operations.

Must Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience (5+ in Windchill administration, senior/lead role preferred).
• Strong knowledge of PLM concepts and PTC Windchill architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Perl, JavaScript) and database management (Oracle, SQL).
• Experience with Windows/Linux server environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with CAD systems (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and their integration with Windchill.

Nice to Have Skills

• Windchill 12.x experience.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Windchill ProjectLink, PartsLink, Quality Management, and Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windchill systems including configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Manage workflows, lifecycles, and vaulting replica configurations.
• Support CAD/BOM/Change Management processes.
• Handle Windchill cluster administration and business scenarios.
• Work with Windchill Workgroup Manager and rehost/cloning.
• Integrate Windchill with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, MES).
• Participate in DevOps culture with CI/CD pipeline and automated testing support.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve Windchill-related issues.
• Manage Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.
