Job Description (Upwork – SEO / Technical Migration Support)

Old Website:

www.different-eventausstattung.de

New Website:

staging.different-eventausstattung.com

We are preparing to launch a new website for our company (different-eventausstattung.de). The new website has a completely different URL structure compared to the old one.




Tasks:

1. URL Mapping
   • Export all indexed URLs from Google Search Console (current + historically indexed).
   • Compare old URL structure with the new one.
   • Create a complete URL mapping table (old → new).


2. 301 Redirects
   • Set up permanent 301 redirects from all old URLs to the correct new URLs.
   • Ensure category, product, and content pages are redirected correctly (no redirect chains, no loops).
   • Test all redirects with Screaming Frog (or similar tool).


3. Domain & Indexing Check
   • Identify all domains/subdomains that have ever been indexed (main domain, staging, test versions).
   • Redirect all relevant domains/subdomains to the new live site.


4. Technical SEO Fixes
   • Solve current Search Console issues (canonical tags, soft 404, duplicate content, server errors).
   • Make sure the new site is crawlable and indexable (no unnecessary “noindex”).


5. Validation
   • Provide a redirect & migration report after implementation.
   • Monitor indexing after launch (2–4 weeks) to ensure successful migration.



Requirements:

• Proven experience with technical SEO and website migrations.
• Strong knowledge of Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, WordPress/WooCommerce.
• Ability to work fast and provide clear documentation.



Deliverables:

• Full URL mapping (Excel/CSV).
• Implemented & tested 301 redirects.
• Report of fixed Search Console issues.
• Final migration report.
