Role Summary
The Service Manager reports to the SVP for InFlight Connectivity and ensures the success of specified in-flight connectivity programs by managing technical service obligations and fostering strong relationships with airlines and partners.
Location: Anywhere in Spain or Germany
Remote Options: Fully remote
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact with the airline and program partners to build and maintain successful business relationships.
- Manage all technical aspects of IFC solutions, including support, training, reporting, network support, content loading, system upgrades, logistics, software updates, billing, aircraft modifications, and program planning.
- Identify and address technical or performance issues proactively.
- Analyze system performance against KPIs to maintain and improve service quality.
- Coordinate resources for contract fulfillment and support installation phases.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality support and ensure service excellence.
- Manage and report on service levels, and seek continuous improvement.
- Build and grow positive influence with clients and partners.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales of products and services.
- Create performance reports and propose operational improvements.
- Work with the Account Manager to ensure overall account satisfaction and strategic growth.
Key Tasks
- Ensure timely installation, activation, and operation of solutions.
- Develop strong relationships with customer representatives.
- Maintain clear and effective communication.
- Coordinate program requirements and collaborate across teams.
- Support new service development and sales efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years experience in communications and aviation systems troubleshooting.
- Experience in technology, aviation, or telecommunications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial aviation systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
