Job Description

I am a rising classical composer and pianist with recent premieres at the Musikverein in Vienna, publications with Universal Edition, and ongoing work in Berlin and New York. My music is serious and high-level (I also study privately with András Schiff), and I am seeking a reliable assistant to handle social media posting and career outreach so I can focus fully on composing. This is an ongoing, part-time role (approx. 15–20 hrs/month). You should have excellent written English, a feel for classical/arts audiences, and strong organizational skills. Tasks include managing my social media calendar (via Buffer), splitting long-form performance/explainer videos into short clips, drafting professional captions, and conducting outreach to festivals, blogs, and competitions.


Tasks include:

• Social media management (Mailchimp, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook via Buffer)
• Split long-form videos into clips (performance + explainer) based on my notes
• Write concise, professional captions suitable for a classical audience
• Upload and publish recordings (YouTube, website, etc.)
• Maintain 1–2 posts per week minimum (8+ per month)
• Outreach: research blogs, festivals, competitions, podcasts, and submit my materials (press kit, recordings) as directed
• Maintain a simple spreadsheet of contacts and deadlines
• Draft short professional outreach emails for my review before sending


Requirements:

• Excellent written English, professional but not cheesy tone
• Knowledge of classical music audience/arts world a big plus
• Strong organizational skills (Google Drive, Notion, Slack)
• Comfortable with light video tasks (cutting clips, captions)
• Self-directed, reliable, consistent


Budget:

• $12–18/hr, approx. 15–20 hrs/month (capped at 5 hrs/week).
