Social Media Manager - Part-Time (Freelance)

Job Overview

A part-time social media manager is required to design and manage content for digital platforms. The role will focus on building an engaging online presence through culturally inspired posts that highlight South Asian heritage, share project updates, and deliver creative educational content. The manager will develop visually appealing social graphics, event collateral, and branded materials that reflect Saath’s mission while appealing to a wide online audience. This is a contract position with flexible remote work and strong potential for meaningful cultural impact.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and publish social media content across Instagram and other platforms.
• Create graphics and layouts for project updates, announcements, and event collateral.
• Develop engaging educational and cultural posts, including fun facts, trivia, and heritage-inspired content.
• Maintain consistency with existing brand identity and evolve creative direction where needed.
• Collaborate to brainstorm content ideas that resonate with diverse online audiences.
• Monitor and engage with the online community to strengthen reach and impact.
• Ensure content aligns with modern, clean design aesthetics while integrating South Asian cultural themes.

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience as a social media manager or content designer with a strong portfolio.
• Advanced skills in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma.
• Strong understanding of brand identity and visual communication.
• Familiarity with social media strategy, engagement techniques, and analytics tools.
• Experience designing for cultural or heritage-based content is highly desirable.
• Ability to balance creativity with professional, modern design standards.
• Excellent time management skills to deliver high-quality work on a part-time contract basis.
• Knowledge of community-driven campaigns and nonprofit/impact-driven platforms is a plus.
