Lead Software Engineer


Location: Germany / remote

Tech stack: Golang & React fullstack development.


Flexible working mode - onsite, remote or hybrid


A German software business is building a new SaaS platform.The business is in the area of HR time management, tracking, security building access and control hardware etc. Experience in the B2B or enterprise SaaS environment is preferred. Participation in scaling or modernisation of software solutions.


Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain the SaaS platform architecture (Go + React)
• Hands-on coding, especially in early phases
• Define tech stack and design modular backend/frontend architecture
• Introduce modern development paradigms and structured software design
• Provide technical guidance on architectural decisions
• Act as interface with legacy team for knowledge transfer
• Align technology with Product Owner and Engineering Manager
• Establish efficient development processes (code review, CI/CD, branching)
• Ensure maintainability, scalability, and team growth
• Document technical decisions and system architecture


Requirements
• 5-8+ years developing production-ready software systems
• Strong backend experience with Go (or similar languages)
• Solid frontend knowledge (React preferred)
• Experience designing architecture for B2B or enterprise SaaS solutions
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (e.g. containerization, CI/CD)
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Structured, pragmatic, and independent working style
• German (B1+) and English (B1+) required; residency in Germany
• Experience with legacy systems, technical initiatives, and scaling solutions
