Overview

We are hiring for the Solution Sales Manager (f/m/d) at SAP . We help the world run better. This role is based across SAP locations in Germany (e.g., Walldorf, Hamburg, Berlin, Ratingen, Eschborn, Gerlingen) or other SAP locations in Germany.

What you’ll do and bring for success is described below. The position emphasizes leadership of a sales team, strategy development, opportunity management, and customer engagement within SAP Customer Experience solutions.

What You’ll Build

  • Lead, drive, manage, coach and develop a team of Solution Sales Executives and consistently attain targeted revenue and profitability goals.
  • Manage the sales pipeline proactively to meet individual and group goals; participate in regular business reviews/forecast calls and provide feedback to Field Management.
  • Assess team performance against goals/KPIs and revenue targets; ensure revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction targets are achieved; maintain pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy.
  • Anchor the Solution Sales Executives in the Virtual Account Teams of the assigned sectors and manage opportunities in close cooperation with the sectors.
  • Focus sales activities to identify and close opportunities for SAP Customer Experience solutions and cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Provide professional and sales‑oriented support for assigned Large Enterprise customers; take executive ownership in large, strategic opportunities.
  • Strengthen relationships with C‑level managers in assigned accounts; establish regular meetings with sector and industry sales managers to reinforce SAP CX relationships.
  • Ensure annual target fulfillment by expanding SAP CX footprint within the existing customer base.
  • Develop industry‑specific use and business cases for SAP CX within holistic end‑to‑end strategies and in cooperation with industry account teams; develop and implement SAP CX strategies for account development, opportunity management and customer engagement.
  • Help the team generate demand, manage pipeline, and close opportunities; create opportunity plans with compelling solution value propositions; conduct White Space analyses to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the wider account team on sales campaigns; stay informed about SAP’s competition and value drivers; leverage SAP’s team of experts and industry knowledge to address customer needs; build customer participation in SAP communities, programs, and events; facilitate collaboration with the partner ecosystem.

What You Bring

  • Several years of successful professional experience in the software industry.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Experience in managing your own or virtual teams.
  • Broad understanding of Customer Experience software solutions & SaaS sales.
  • Alignment with product/solution management teams and marketing organizations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success with large transactions and challenging sales pursuits.
  • Strong diplomatic and political skills; strong team building skills.
