The Mining and Quarry team is responsible for sales, implementations, and operations of tailor-made autonomous and electric transport solutions in the mining and quarry segments.

Potential locations for this role are either Germany (Konz, Hameln, Munchen) or France (Belley).

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Solution Sales Manager in the Mining and Quarry team, the following tasks are included:

1. Being responsible for the customer buying process at an early stage.
2. A combination of acquiring new customers and maintaining existing customer relationships.
3. Manage prospects and all related sales activities of our transport solutions.
4. Identify new prospects, perform site visits, and conduct site assessments.
5. Manage price negotiations as well as the business setup from A to Z.
6. To offer the best possible solution, you will be supported by colleagues within the Solutions team as well as from the development departments.
7. Work in close collaboration with our customers and other Volvo Group units and market organizations globally.
8. There will be a fair amount of traveling involved in the role.

WHO THE COMPANY ARE LOOKING FOR

1. Degree (BSc or MSc) in engineering or equivalent.
2. Technical and commercial experience as well as industry knowledge.
3. Willingness to learn and challenge today’s standards, both technically and commercially.
4. Humbleness in your own abilities and prioritize the bigger picture — not placing prestige in being able to handle everything on your own.
5. Customer-oriented mindset.
6. Willingness to travel.
7. Experience in heavy industry, mining, or quarrying is beneficial. Familiarity with related terminology is important.
8. German / French and English language skills.
