Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for integration with solar power projects.
• Conduct site evaluations and feasibility assessments to determine the practicality of BESS deployment.
• Analyze, model, and size BESS solutions to optimize efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless compatibility between BESS and solar PV
• Create, review, and refine technical specifications, system drawings, and project documentation.
• Ensure all designs and installations meet industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and safety requirements.
• Track BESS performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements where necessary.
• Provide hands-on support during commissioning, system testing, and performance verification.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends in energy storage and renewable power systems.
• Offer mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualifications & Expertise

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar energy engineering, BESS design, and implementation.
• Comprehensive understanding of solar PV systems, including design principles, installation, and maintenance.
• Strong expertise in battery energy storage, covering lithium-ion battery technology, power conversion systems, and battery management.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools for energy management and system analysis.
• Knowledge of grid integration, power electronics, and control strategies for renewable energy applications.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering teamwork in a collaborative environment.
• Experience in project management is a plus.
