We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team and take ownership of day-to-day accounting across multiple entities. You’ll work closely with our Controller to ensure accurate books, timely reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and sales tax requirements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a hands-on, remote role ideal for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently.


This position is 100% remote, based in India or the Philippines, with some overlap required with U.S. business hours. You'll report directly to Sauce's Controller.

What You’ll Do:


• Monthly Bookkeeping & Journal Entries:
• Import and reconcile credit card transactions
• Manage and reconcile expense reports
• Post monthly revenue entries, accruals, and closing JEsPost semi-monthly payroll entries
• Perform fixed asset & prepaid amortization entries
• Accounts Payable & Contractor Payments:
• Prepare vendor bills and payments
• Review and prepare contractor invoices
• Maintain AP ledgers
• Reconciliations:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations
• Handle inter-company reconciliations across international entities
• Sales Tax Compliance:
• Prepare and file U.S. state sales tax reports
• Reporting:
• Support monthly close process and preparation of financial statements
• Assist in variance analysis and reporting for internal stakeholdersMaintain Finance related files and back ups
• Adhoc:
• Process improvements
• Maintain system integrations and process

What You Bring:


• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a tech startup or SaaS environment
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with accrual-based accounting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
• Experience with intercompany accounting across U.S. and international entities
• Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
• CPA preferred but not required
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and self-management skills
• Experience with Remote.com, Saasgrid, or Melio a plus
