Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total experience of 7+ years.
• Strong experience as a DBA (MySQL).
• Expertise in MySQL internals, high availability, clustering, replication, performance tuning, diagnostics, backup/restore mechanisms, monitoring, alerting tools, security hardening, and logging.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix OS, SQL/PLSQL scripting, Bash, Python scripting, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).
• Experience working in Agile teams and workflows.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect and maintain MySQL database infrastructure for high availability and scalability.
• Handle patching, upgrades, security configurations, and monitoring of MySQL environments.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Optimize slow queries and support performance-intensive workloads.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Application teams on CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Manage database migrations across environments.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and auditing standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
