This position is responsible for supporting Field Service Engineers with operational coverage across the London and South East regions.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Regional Field Service Manager to lead, develop and support our Field Service Engineers (FSEs).
This role is central to ensuring exceptional customer service delivery, high technical standards, and continuous improvement within the field team.
You will be responsible for performance management, technical support, workforce planning, and maintaining strong customer relationships, while promoting Sysmex as a leader in the diagnostics market.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management & Development
- Lead and support all FSEs within the assigned region.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews and regular group meetings.
- Assess technical competence and identify training needs.
- Provide coaching, guidance and ensure effective communication.
Technical Oversight & Support
- Work alongside FSEs to assess skills and support complex service activities.
- Provide technical and product support, escalating issues when necessary.
- Monitor service call performance, including FTFR, MTBF and response times.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong customer relationships and resolve complaints promptly.
- Make recommendations for customer training where required.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure administrative compliance including call logging, expenses, and spare parts usage.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, installations, technical modifications, and release testing.
- Drive continuous improvement across the regional team.
Planning & Coordination
- Support future growth planning aligned to company objectives.
- Ensure effective succession planning for the region.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company and customer H&S guidelines and environmental rules.
- Adhere to WEEE directives and other compliance requirements.
- Full UK driving licence.
- HND or equivalent in electronic and mechanical engineering.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
- Exceptional technical fault‑finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
- Customer‑focused with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland & Northern Ireland.
- Trustworthy, reliable, and self‑motivated.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
- Team player dedicated to improving overall team performance.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Team Leader or Management role.
The successful applicant will be required to reside within London, Greater London, or the South East region.
