Our research department at the BMW Group focuses on cutting‑edge technologies in automated driving. We explore how Vision Language Action Models with memory can enhance reasoning and task execution for future mobility solutions.

What awaits you?

• You will support close collaboration within our research team at the BMW Group.
• Furthermore, you help explore different memory approaches in Vision Language Models and Vision Language Action Models for automated driving applications.
• In addition, you contribute to evaluating learning‑based and non‑learning‑based memory techniques in automated driving tasks.
• Moreover, you will assist in working on state‑of‑the‑art methods and developing novel approaches.
• In addition, you will contribute to the application of these approaches in our prototypes for practical testing.
• Additionally, you work independently on your tasks with regular feedback from your contact person.

What should you bring along?

• Studies in computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics or a related field.
• Knowledge in machine learning and computer vision.
• Knowledge in Vision Language Models and Vision Language Action Models.
• Experience with memory approaches for language models is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• University supervision for your thesis is required.
• Good German and English skills.
