Your mission

  • Strategic Pipeline Generation: Independently develop and execute a targeted prospecting strategy within the assigned region, utilizing outbound methods, networking, and account mapping to proactively build and manage a robust pipeline, supplementing inbound leads.
  • End-to-End Sales Cycle Management: Own and drive the entire sales process for qualified leads handed over by the SDR team, from initial discovery to contract closure.
  • Expert Needs Discovery & Technical Qualification : Conduct deep‑dive analyses of complex IT landscapes and infrastructure monitoring challenges (e.g., consolidation, distributed monitoring, cloud adoption) to precisely qualify opportunities and position Checkmk's unique value.
  • Business Value & ROI Articulation: Translate complex technical requirements and solution benefits into a compelling business case, demonstrating clear Return on Investment (ROI) and commercial value for the customer.
  • Target‑Group‑Oriented Value Delivery: Lead high‑impact product demonstrations and workshops, effectively tailoring the technical and commercial narrative to resonate with both IT Professionals and C‑level decision‑makers.
  • Complex Deal Navigation & Closure: Confidently identify, manage, and influence multiple stakeholders across technical and executive levels to navigate complex decision‑making processes and successfully lead negotiations through to contract signature.
  • Strategic Account Development: Cultivate and maintain long‑term, trusted advisory relationships with key technical and commercial decision‑makers to drive continuous strategic account growth (Up‑ and Cross‑Selling).
  • Market Expertise & Trend Identification: Maintain up‑to‑date expertise on the latest trends in IT monitoring, cloud technologies, and AIOps to proactively identify new sales opportunities and strengthen positioning.

Your profile

  • Sales Experience: You have between 4 to 7 years sales experience, ideally at least 4 years of proven success in complex sales environments as an Account Executive.
  • Technical Background: You have a strong technical understanding of IT infrastructures, networks and system monitoring, ideally underpinned by a technical degree, training or practical experience.
  • Commercial Mentality: You are intrinsically motivated, results‑oriented, and have the drive to achieve and exceed ambitious targets.
  • Sales Process Management: You own the complete Sales process, from Lead Generation to closing, with a support of a structured sales methodology.
  • Language Skills: You are a German Native‑Speaker and English business proficient.
  • Communication Skills: You can focus complex content on the essentials, you're a good and empathic listener, you are capable of articulating Checkmk's technical and commercial value preposition to both, IT‑professionals and executive business leaders, driving complex, multistakeholder deals through to close.
  • Processes & Tools: You work systematically and routinely with modern CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Odoo, or similar) and master the digital sales tool stack and make use of AI to support you on your daily tasks and business.
