Job Description
As an Account Executive at Shopware, you will own the end-to-end sales cycle and take initiative in driving new business across the DACH region. You won’t just manage opportunities—you’ll actively create momentum, influence decision-makers, and champion Shopware as the platform of choice for modern commerce.
In this role, you’ll have the freedom to shape your market approach while collaborating closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and cross-functional teams. You’ll take full responsibility for guiding prospects through their buying journey, aligning solutions to their goals, and ensuring deals are successfully closed. Your proactive mindset and entrepreneurial drive will directly impact Shopware’s growth trajectory in Europe and beyond.

These are your tasks:
Own the full sales cycle from first touch through to contract signing, taking responsibility for progressing opportunities and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.Act as the strategic advisor to prospects during their evaluation, anticipating needs and proactively removing obstacles in the decision-making process.Take initiative to identify growth opportunities by analyzing customer potential, industry trends, and market gaps.Drive alignment with Marketing and Sales leadership to launch new campaigns, initiatives, and strategies that accelerate pipeline growth.Champion the customer voice by actively gathering and channeling insights to Product and Business Development teams.Work in close partnership with SDRs, while maintaining full accountability for turning pre-qualified leads into successful long-term customers.
This is what you'll bring to the table:
Proven record of achievement: Several years of experience driving and closing software sales opportunities, with a history of meeting or surpassing quota, ideally in e-commerce or SaaS.Self-starter attitude: You don’t wait for direction—you take initiative, set priorities, and push deals forward with energy and determination.Consultative influence: Strong ability to navigate complex sales cycles, engage multiple stakeholders, and build consensus around business-critical solutions.Agility & accountability: A data-driven mindset combined with the discipline to track progress, learn quickly, and adjust strategies as needed.Languages: Fluent German and English for business; additional languages are a plus.Collaborative leadership: You naturally bring teams together, but you are equally comfortable taking independent responsibility for outcomes.
