Account Manager – Specialty Chemicals / Pharma

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Account Manager to join the commercial team. This role focuses on managing and expanding customer accounts in the European region, with a strong emphasis on specialty chemical applications and pharma clients. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing long‑term client relationships, and collaborating with internal cross‑functional teams to meet customer needs and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities
- Conduct prospecting through research, cold outreach, networking, events, and digital channels
- Present product and service solutions to clients through virtual meetings and on‑site visits
- Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges, market trends, and competitor activity
- Collaborate with internal teams including procurement, regulatory, technical, and marketing
- Manage the CRM pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet or exceed sales targets
- Provide strategic support in product positioning and technical‑commercial problem solving
- Represent the company at relevant industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Key Requirements
- Degree in Science (preferably Chemistry or Chemical Engineering), Business, Sales, or Marketing
- 3–5 years of experience in account management or B2B sales within the specialty chemicals or pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of success in inside sales or technical sales roles
- Strong familiarity with applications in CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers), Lubricants & Metalworking Fluids, Agrochemicals, and Flavours & Fragrances
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup, with occasional travel across Europe
- Fluent in English; German and/or Dutch is a plus
