Accounting Assistant/Specialist

For our Engineering Center in Raunheim, near Frankfurt, we are looking for an Accounting Assistant/Intern

We want to work with a flexible and enthusiastic individual wo will be required to support the development of our European vehicles locally as well as globally - jointly with our teams in our headquarter in China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and tax regulations, including VAT (MwSt) filings.
• Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparations.
• Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and responding to internal financial queries.
• Use accounting software like DATEV or SAP to manage financial data efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, preferably in a German or EU-based company.
• Strong knowledge of German accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
• Fluency in German, English and Chinese; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
