We offer you the opportunity to contribute your expertise in an international environment and to continuously develop yourself.**What Awaits You:*** You as ADBA – Expert Database Management for CDH (m/w/d) are responsible for the 24/7 availability and performance of all managed databases through analysis and optimization of the systems as well as the establishment of efficient monitoring.* You monitor and optimize database quality and performance through continuous analysis and regular reviews with development partners and operational units.* You are responsible for quality assurance and the implementation of new software releases for the databases.* You review and update operational and system documentation.* You coordinate and drive the independent, targeted handling and resolution of highly complex incidents in collaboration with or management of the Incident Management, Service Management Centre, development units, testing, internal and external suppliers, and service providers.* You initiate and manage necessary database patches to ensure the security and compliance of our databases.* You coordinate with project managers and architects regarding the planning and implementation of projects to ensure a smooth transition to operations.**What Sets You Apart:**This position can be performed full-time or in near full-time part-time (at least 30 hours).Your strengths and experience count. We welcome applications from people with disabilities and give them special consideration in case of equal suitability.We are filling this position at the Düsseldorf location for Vodafone GmbH.* A completed technical or industrial engineering degree or many years of experience in IT infrastructure and data centre operations, IT operations, or IT engineering.* At least 5 years of professional experience in IT, preferably in IT operations, IT consulting, or IT architecture with a special focus on databases.* In-depth experience in the operation and optimization of Oracle and NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL, S3, Cassandra) as well as in cloud technologies (AWS) and cloud-native architectures.* Experience with DevOps tools and automation (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).* Fluent English, both written and spoken.* Strong communication and teamwork skills, proven in an international environment.* Knowledge of IT architecture and IT service management processes (ITIL).* Experience in crisis management for subject-specific topics.**What We Offer You:*** Flexibility: Hybrid working enables you to work in the office or up to 3 days/week from home.
