deltaVision - fluid control & aerospace

Aerospace Pump & Compressor Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Stellenbeschreibung:

Your mission

As a member of our experienced team in Munich/Germany, you will act as a "Full-Stack" Hardware Development Engineer dedicated to our rotating machinery and fluid transfer portfolio. You will be at the forefront of researching and developing novel technologies for various aerospace pump types (ePumps) and high-performance gas compressors designed for mission-critical applications. This role sits right at the intersection of advanced research and tangible hardware creation. In detail you will:

  • Pioneer novel pump and compressor concepts: Drive the full development cycle from blank-sheet research to detailed sizing, CAD, and complex fluid/structural analysis (CFD/FEM).
  • Bring research to reality: Transition theoretical concepts rapidly into physical hardware.
  • Take full ownership of your prototypes by performing hands‑on integration, assembly, and rigorous testing on our test stands to validate performance in challenging aerospace environments.
  • Innovate our workflow: Drive AI and automated design approaches (e.g., using Python/MATLAB) to streamline the sizing of the equipment, eliminating repetitive tasks so you can focus on true technical innovation.
  • Ensure that even the most novel and performant designs are strictly balanced with Design‑to‑Cost (DtC) and manufacturability.

Your profile

  • Motivated, pragmatic, and self‑organized personality. You prefer "done" over "perfect on paper."
  • Eager to take responsibility and shape our products, services, and company culture.
  • Familiarity with fluid dynamics, turbomachinery, or positive‑displacement machines (pumps and compressors) is highly desired.
  • Strong experience with classical engineering toolsets (CAD, FEM, and especially CFD) for complex mechanical design.
  • Proven ability to translate theoretical research into functional hardware. A hands‑on mindset for hardware‑related activities (inspection, assembly, testing) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in scripting to build automated design flows, coupled with the ambition to leverage modern digital/AI tools in hardware development.
  • Experience in aerospace hardware development and Product Assurance (PA) is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English; German and further languages are appreciated.

We offer

  • Immediate and flexible start
  • Permanent full-time position (40 h/week)
  • Start your "Side Quest": We support passion projects - whether it’s building new tools, test stands, or experimental prototypes outside your main scope.
  • Shape our growth: As a fast‑scaling company, we offer the opportunity to actively build structures and define our future path.
  • Attractive salary package
  • 30 days annual vacation and flexible working hours
  • Bike leasing, EGYM Wellpass and subsidy for the Deutschlandticket
  • Complimentary beverages, company events, and professional development opportunities

About Us

We are deltaVision GmbH – a young, ambitious high‑tech company based in Munich, driving the future of in-space mobility and infrastructure. Since our founding in 2022, we have been developing, manufacturing, and qualifying advanced fluid control systems for the aerospace industry and H₂ aviation. Our expertise spans cryogenic and high-pressure propulsion systems as well as next‑generation orbital refueling technologies, including couplers and fully integrated refueling systems designed for the harsh environment of space.

With our deep knowledge of fluid control for space systems, we are shaping the space economy towards refuelable and reusable spacecraft. We enable longer mission lifetimes, greater operational flexibility, and entirely new architectures for sustainable space operations.

What sets us apart?

  • Innovative products enabling next‑generation space infrastructure.
  • Exceptional cost efficiency through optimized design and manufacturing.
  • Rapid development and delivery cycles beyond traditional industry standards.

We are rethinking spaceflight — enabling a future where spacecraft are not disposable, but reusable, refuelable, and built to operate sustainably in orbit.
