AI-Augmented Product Engineer / Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d)

Become a key player in our remote-first product engineering team. We’re seeking a full-stack engineer with a strong builder persona – someone who codes, designs, and problemsolves with equal enthusiasm. You will use our AI-augmented development platform (including tools like v0/Bolt/Windsurf ) to build impactful SaaS features from scratch, faster than ever before.

Role Summary

This position is for a Fullstack Product Engineer who will work remotely (within Germany) to craft and deliver features for our enterprise SaaS product. You’ll collaborate in a distributed team to develop new functionalities front-to-back, often acting as a mini “product owner” for your projects. The role combines software craftsmanship with strategic thinking – you’ll be expected to understand the business problem we’re solving, and then use your engineering skills (amplified by AI development aids) to solve it in the most user-friendly way.

We operate in an AI-assisted development environment where repetitive tasks are automated and developers focus on creative work. For example, you might use an AI agent to generate a boilerplate React component or a data model, allowing you to concentrate on fine-tuning the user experience and business logic. If you enjoy working autonomously, learning rapidly, and building products that matter, you'll fit right in.

Tasks

• Rapid Prototyping & Development: Work with PMs to translate requirements into prototypes in days, not weeks. Use AI tools to quickly spin up interfaces and services. Then refine and productionize the solutions, ensuring they meet our robustness standards.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Develop rich front-end components in React and efficient back-end logic in Java. Seamlessly integrate the two, building APIs and data models (PostgreSQL/MongoDB) that support new product features. You’ll handle everything from UI to database schema changes.
• AI-Integrated Workflow: Continuously incorporate AI into the dev cycle – from generating boilerplate code, to writing tests, to debugging. For example, use Windsurf to autogenerate code snippets, and let AI-based test workflows run validations. This approach lets us deliver features fast without sacrificing quality.
• Code Quality & Reviews: Take ownership of the code you produce. Write unit tests (with some help from AI test generators) and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards. Help mentor other team members in getting the most out of our AI-assisted workflows.
• Continuous Improvement: As a core builder on the team, you have an eye for improving our overall system and tooling. If you find a better way to do something – be it a new library or an update to our CI/CD pipeline or a new AI tool– you advocate for it. We encourage initiative and innovation in all team members.

Requirements

• Experienced Builder: You have a proven track record (approx. 3-6 years) of building software products, preferably SaaS applications. You might have been a founding engineer or part of a small startup team, or perhaps you drove significant projects in a larger org – in any case, you’ve built and shipped real products.
• Product-Driven: You care about why the software is built. Terms like “product-market fit” and “user experience” resonate with you. You can balance technical elegance with pragmatism, keeping the end-user in mind. Your decisions as an engineer are guided by what’s best for the product and customer.
• Problem Solver with Initiative: When faced with a challenge, you don’t wait for instructions – you research, propose solutions, and take action. This role favors raw problem-solving ability and initiative over exact domain knowledge. We believe raw intelligence and bias toward action predict success better than familiarity with a particular framework.
• Full-Stack Proficiency: Skills in Java for backend development, including building RESTful APIs or microservices. Equally experienced in frontend engineering with React/TypeScript. Comfortable writing SQL for PostgreSQL and knowledge of MongoDB (or similar NoSQL). You don’t need to be an expert in every piece, but you should be capable of working anywhere in the tech stack as needed.
• Adaptive Learner: Our environment evolves quickly, especially with AI in the mix. You should be eager to learn new languages, frameworks, or AI tools. If you haven’t used our specific AI dev tools, that’s fine – but you should have the enthusiasm to embrace them. Being curious and adaptable is more important than checking every box.
• Remote Collaboration Skills: Effective at working remotely. You can manage your time responsibly, communicate clearly, and document your work for others. Our team is dotted across Europe, so you should be able to sync within Central European working hours.
