Rohde & Schwarz – AI Solution Architect (m/f/d)

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking an experienced AI Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and robust AI solutions leveraging Generative AI technologies. This role is critical in translating business requirements into comprehensive AI architectures, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, and driving the long‑term vision for AI adoption across the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive AI solution architectures for a variety of business problems, including data pipelines, model training/deployment, infrastructure, security, and cost‑efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the AI solution lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate AI technologies, tools, and platforms.
• Ensure seamless integration between AI solutions and existing Rohde & Schwarz systems.
• Architect AI solutions for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Proactively evolve standards and best practices for AI development, deployment and governance (MLOps, LLMOps, AgentsOps).
• Design cost‑effective AI solutions, leveraging cloud resources and optimizing model performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and establish standards for AI solution development and deployment.
• Effectively communicate architectural designs and technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Guide data scientists, ML engineers, and developers in implementing AI solutions and promote best practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in software architecture and solution design, with at least 5+ years focused on AI/ML solutions.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques (deep learning, NLP, reinforcement learning).
• Deep understanding of common deep learning and neural network architectures (Transformers, Diffusion models, etc.).
• Extensive experience designing and implementing AI solutions on cloud platforms; cloud certifications highly desirable.
• Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipeline design.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns and technologies (APIs, microservices, message queues).
• Understanding of security principles and best practices for AI systems.
• Experience with MLOps, continuous monitoring, and model management tools.
• Experience designing agentic AI platforms and workflows based on agentic architectures.
• Experience with vector database technologies (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma) and their integration.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
