The German economy can only maintain its competitiveness and actively shape sustainable and ethical values if it creates a leading position in value creation in the field of AI. This transformation will succeed through collaboration in the ecosystem - by pooling resources. IPAI wants to be this platform. We promote value creation in the field of AI, connect application and transformation partners and create joint user cases. To this end, we are building a place where ideas can be rethought, tried out and learned anew. All with the aim of developing new business ideas and models through AI solutions, based on the foundations of sustainability, digital responsibility and European sovereignty.

You work in deep collaboration with IPAI members to help them clarify their AI-related challenges, opportunities, and priorities. Embedded alongside our members’ leadership, engineering, and innovation teams, you support them in translating ambition into concrete strategies, requirements, and initiatives, building a shared and realistic understanding of how AI can create sustained value over time.In parallel, you act as a central sense-making function for IPAI, synthesizing insights across members and translating them into decision-ready input for IPAI product management, engineering and strategic partnering decisions.

Your tasks

• Collaborate deeply with IPAI members, engaging leadership, engineering, and innovation teams to clarify AI ambitions, constraints, and priorities.
• Support members in articulating AI strategies and initiative portfolios, translating high-level goals into concrete requirements and actionable next steps.
• Act as IPAI’s deep customer research function, identifying recurring needs, patterns, and systemic challenges across the member ecosystem.
• Synthesize and translate member insights into decision-ready input for IPAI Engineering and Leadership, informing platform direction and program design.
• Bridge strategy and execution, synthesize and translate member insights into decision-ready input for Leadership and Engineering, and ensure that initiatives are framed clearly enough to be taken forward to execution in a timely manner and without loss of intent or context.
• Lead consulting-style engagements with credibility and empathy, focused on durable capability building and long-term ecosystem leverage.

Your profile

• Several years of experience in technology, digital, or AI-related transformation roles, strategy consulting, product discovery, or comparable positions.
• Proven track record of working with organizations to clarify strategy, define initiatives, and align business and engineering perspectives in ambiguous environments.
• Experience engaging both senior leadership and hands-on engineering or innovation teams.
• Solid understanding of AI and software engineering fundamentals, enabling credible engagement with technical stakeholders.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, capable of aligning diverse stakeholders around shared understanding.
• Consulting mindset combined with pragmatism and a focus on long-term, real-world impact.
