Join us as an Application Developer / Electrical Engineer (f/m/d) at DIgSILENT GmbH, an independent software and consulting company in the field of electrical power supply.

We assist energy providers and grid operators in tackling the challenges posed by digitalization in the energy sector and the integration of renewable energy sources. Our products PowerFactory, StationWare, and Monitoring Systems are utilized worldwide in over 170 countries.

Responsibilities

Your tasks will include:

• Implementing applications for the PowerFactory grid calculation software as a software developer.
• Focusing on the further development and maintenance of various stationary calculation methods such as load flow, short circuit, network reduction, cable calculation, and related methods.
• Supporting our application engineers with customer support.

Requirements

Your profile should include:

• A successfully completed university study as a Master/Dipl.-Ing. or Dr.-Ing. in electrical engineering with a focus on electrical power engineering or a comparable degree program.
• Experience in the development of network calculation methods, in particular stationary calculations such as load flow analysis, network reduction, or short-circuit calculation.
• Knowledge of modeling common equipment such as lines, transformers, generators, loads.
• Practical experience in an object-orientated programming language (such as C++, Java, C#).
• Good command of written and spoken English, with a good command of German being an advantage.
