Responsibilities

• Technical clarification, planning and implementation of in‑house or customer laser applications.
• Creation of required test setups.
• Preparation of application reports and documents for marketing purposes.
• Development of process fundamentals and execution of parameter studies.
• Collaboration on definition and optimization of beam sources, laser systems and control software (HMI).
• Advisory to project management on laser and optics selection, fixture design, etc.
• Conduction of training in-house or at customer sites.
• Support of customer acceptance testing and customer contact for application‑related questions.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics, or comparable technical training.
• Ideally experience in laser material processing and knowledge in materials science.
• Ability to capture complex interrelationships.
• Self‑directed, goal‑oriented work style.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Enjoyment of customer interaction.
• Willingness for worldwide travel.
• Negotiation‑secure German and English.
