Application Engineer – Handtmann Experience Center APAC (Thailand)

Responsibilities

• Execution of comprehensive application and service‑related support for regional sales companies and distribution partners
• Professional consulting on application engineering topics across various process and product requirements
• Participation in machine and product demonstrations, test runs, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities within the APAC region
• Planning and execution of activities in the Handtmann Experience Center, including product demonstrations, test series, and structured technical and application‑related training
• Remote support and second‑level assistance to ensure fast response times
• Analysis of product‑specific characteristics (e.g., texture, forming) and derivation of optimal machine configurations to achieve the best possible results
• Support of regional sales initiatives and participation in trade fairs, events, and exhibitions
• Documentation of all activities and continuous coordination with the global application engineering team
• Business travel within the APAC region to provide technical support and training on site

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in the food sector (e.g., butcher, baker, food technologist) or a comparable qualification in food or mechanical engineering
• Additional qualifications such as master craftsman, technician, or bachelor’s degree are an advantage
• Valid visa and work permit for Thailand
• Professional experience in application‑related support, ideally in the food industry or mechanical engineering environment
• Experience with regular international business travel; knowledge of the APAC region is an advantage
• Very good command of English; additional Asian languages or German skills are a plus
• Independent, structured, and solution‑oriented working style with a strong service orientation
• Strong communication and planning skills as well as motivation to contribute in an international environment
• Passion for the food industry and willingness for continuous professional development
