Application Engineer (m/f/d) – Personal Care

Location: Hamburg

Part‑time (20–30 hrs/week), initially limited to approx. 24 months

We are looking for you to join our Care Studio, the application lab for the Business Unit Personal Care, as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative formulations that optimally showcase the benefits of our raw material portfolio.
• Independently plan and carry out formulations on a lab scale.
• Produce cosmetic prototypes together with external partners to support our sales team and trade fair appearances.
• Create technical formulation dossiers to strengthen our technical marketing.
• Independently perform and evaluate stability data and physical measurements.
• Prepare technical data in the form of reports or presentations.
• Participate in trade fairs and events and professionally represent our company there.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in cosmetic technology or chemistry, completed CTA training (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification.
• Technical understanding and initial professional experience in the development of cosmetic raw materials and/or solid experience in formulation development.
• Enthusiasm for the world of cosmetics and routine in handling typical tasks in cosmetic or chemical laboratories.
• Enjoyment of a structured and reliable way of working in an interdisciplinary and international team.
• Creativity and a proactive approach.
• Analytical and solution‑oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and confident English skills.
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
