Application manager in the area of facility management (f/m/d)
The University of Konstanz is looking for an Application Manager in the Facility Management department to support the selection and implementation of a new Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system. The role starts at the earliest possible date and is limited until . It is a full‑time position (E11 TV‑L) but can be divided.

Location: Building Services section, FM department. The department serves about 100 employees across roughly 120,000 m² of university buildings.
As the current CAFM system will be replaced, you will work closely with the KIM department to evaluate existing software, record requirements, redesign processes, and gradually roll out the new solution.
Responsibilities
- Support the selection and introduction of a new CAFM for digital space management.
- Participate in the configuration of the new CAFM system.
- Act as first point of contact for user problems and questions during implementation.
- Compile and document necessary requirements.
- Prepare data and information currently recorded in the old CAFM.
- Collaborate in the standardisation of the FM system landscape.
- Integrate additional functionalities such as cleaning management, key management software and the overall building management system.
- Support project management.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in facility management and a completed vocational training or university degree in facility management, building services engineering, or a comparable field.
- Familiarity with common facility management tasks and processes, or the ability to analyse processes systematically.
- Strong IT skills, especially with digital processes, applications and systems such as CAFM, data analysis and process modelling.
- High affinity for new IT applications and a strong analytical understanding.
- Openness to process change and a proactive attitude towards shaping them.
- Willingness to provide professional guidance and instruction, e.g., in training courses and workshops.
- Structured, independent, conscientious and precise work style.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a collegial approach.
