As a wholesale and foreign trade management apprentice, you will learn about various areas such as product management, finance, and human resources.

The main focus of the practical part of the training is on acquiring knowledge in the international purchase and sale of chemical raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients. In addition to commercial expertise, trainees are also trained in open‑mindness, leadership qualities, negotiation skills, and organisational abilities. The practical part at HELM is complemented by school‑based training at the Berufliche Schule am Lämmermarkt in Hamburg.

You can expect practical training at an internationally oriented trading company that works with various logistics service providers across all modes of transport.

Your profile

• Secondary school diploma or vocational diploma
• Good German and English skills
• Basic understanding of mathematics
• Interest in economic topics
