Your tasks

Learn to master the following tasks in a 3.5-year training program (shortening possible):

• Process metals and plastics with lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines
• Manufacture punching tools as well as replacement and wear parts according to drawing specifications
• Operate computer-controlled machine tools
• Commission production tools in the manufacturing plant
• Identify causes of malfunctions and eliminate them independently
• Get involved in internal and external projects together with other trainees, e.g., as a trainee ambassador, at trade fairs, or in business simulation games
• Attend vocational school in Idar-Oberstein (BBS Harald-Fissler-Schule) once or twice a week

Your profile

• You have at least a good vocational qualification or a comparable school leaving certificate
• You are interested in mathematics and physics
• You have technical understanding and manual dexterity
• You have good spatial awareness
• You are observant and work attentively
• You make decisions confidently and react quickly
• You enjoy working in a team and value shared success
