Area Sales Manager for the Southern Germany pharmacy channel. Reports to Head of Field Force Pharmacy. Location: Rhein‑Kreis Neuss, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. Work location: Hybrid.

What You Will Do

As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving the business plan goals for your region, including net revenue, profit, and market share, within the pharmacy channel.

  • Full responsibility for the execution of the business plan for the relevant region, covering all KPIs, including market share and revenue.
  • Proactive use of data to monitor sales effectiveness KPIs.
  • Independent identification of business opportunities and development of strategies to realize them.
  • Close collaboration with marketing and sales teams on strategic and operational development of the region, ensuring customer needs are reflected early in business plans.
  • Independent planning of the business forecast, in collaboration with supply chain.
  • Proactive leadership and anchoring of the go‑to‑market agenda, including Customer Management Principles, Perfect Store Activation (focus on availability, visibility, recommendation & promotion), value‑based detailing and revenue growth management.
  • Proactive participation in channel leadership, taking on strategic projects beyond your territory.
  • Lead, coach and develop team members.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience in the German pharmacy channel with proven success in OTC or skin‑care products.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in people management.
  • Successful college degree.
  • Completed pharmaceutical sales training is an advantage.
  • High level of initiative, leadership and an agile mindset, coupled with a solution‑ and results‑orientated approach.
  • Resilience, commitment and organisational competence.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in data handling and technology.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
