Area Sales Specialist 100% – South of Germany

Welcome to STAAR Surgical – a fast-growing international Medical Device company. Dedicated solely to ophthalmic surgery for over 40 years, we design, develop, manufacture, and market innovative and high-quality ophthalmic implants with companion delivery systems.

To support our continued growth, we are seeking an Area Sales Specialist – South of Germany (all) for our German organization, who will play a central role in contributing to achieving business targets, enhancing surgeons’ confidence and patient satisfaction, and fostering the growth of STAAR Surgical in the region.

Your Mission

  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with our customers.
  • Develop sales strategies and action plans for our EVO ICL family across your assigned region based on customer profiling.
  • Drive sales according to set targets.
  • Train and certify new surgeons in the region, support if needed in calculations, ordering, and complaint management.
  • Define and execute marketing programs through customers in the assigned region.
  • Collect and assist with the analysis of market‑relevant data.
  • Organize and assist effective training and practice development programs & activities in the region.
  • Participate in national and international congresses/exhibitions.
  • Work on cross‑territory projects, such as organizing workshops to train optometrists and clinic staff members, that are suitable for further improving EVO’s positioning and developing customers.

Your Profile

  • Commercial and/or ophthalmological background/training.
  • Specific know‑how about medical implants or devices in general, paired with a minimum of three years of experience in sales of medical devices—preferably within the field of ophthalmology.
  • Fluent in German with excellent English skills (spoken and written).
  • Based in Southern Germany or residing in Germany and open to relocation.
  • Open‑minded, flexible and creative personality with a strong sales mindset.
  • Independent and reliable way of working.
  • Very strong team‑playing abilities as well as strong concept creation and analysis skills.
