ASIC Project Manager

Overview

This ASIC Design Project Manager role offers the chance to sit at the centre of complex digital ASIC development, working closely with design teams and external partners to take advanced IC programmes from concept through to manufacturing. It’s a technically grounded role with real influence, well-suited to someone who enjoys ownership, visibility and being close to the engineering decisions that matter. Our client designs and delivers large, high-complexity digital ASICs used in advanced electronic systems. Their environment brings together digital design, FPGA, hardware, software and test teams, and they are looking for someone who can keep programmes aligned, moving at pace and delivered to plan.

As the ASIC Design Project Manager, you’ll own one or more ASIC programmes, coordinating cross-functional teams and outsourced partners, managing risk and dependencies, and ensuring delivery against scope, schedule and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Leading digital ASIC projects from design start through to manufacturing readiness
• Coordinating design, FPGA, hardware, software and test teams
• Managing external design/IP partners and outsourced workstreams
• Building and tracking plans, milestones and risks
• Providing clear, confident communication to engineering and senior stakeholders

Experience

• Strong background in digital ASIC development and design methodologies
• Experience managing ASIC projects in complex, cross-functional environments
• Comfortable working with outsourced design partners and supply chains
• Structured, pragmatic approach with confidence influencing technical teams
• Degree-level background in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
