Here’s What You Can Look Forward To

Join our team as an Asset & Storage Optimisation Manager (m/f/d) and take responsibility for shaping how we use, optimise, and grow our storage assets. You work at the intersection of Trading & Supply, Dispatch, Logistics, Asset Management, and external partners, ensuring collaboration across all key stakeholders.

In this role, you ensure the most profitable utilisation of our tank capacity, make strategic decisions on internal versus external allocation, and continuously review the commercial use of terminals and third-party facilities. You also evaluate and challenge investment proposals, ensuring they create long-term value, support business growth, and strengthen our company’s overall profitability.

Your Tasks In a Nutshell

Storage Utilisation: You analyse, monitor, and optimise the use of storage sites and tank capacity to ensure maximum efficiency and commercial value.
Capacity Planning: You determine annual tank capacity requirements, deciding how much to retain, release, or reallocate depending on contractual commitments and business needs.
Allocation Decisions: You evaluate and decide on the internal versus external allocation of spare capacity, including whether to rent tank space to external parties or use it internally.
Investment Evaluation: You verify and challenge investment and optimisation proposals from other departments, ensuring alignment with business growth, profitability, and value creation.
Terminal Optimisation: You assess and recommend the most effective use of terminals each year, balancing operational feasibility with economic returns, and review third-party storage facilities.
Asset Strategy Development: You develop and implement strategies for the long-term economic optimisation of storage assets and continuously improve existing facilities and processes.

Asset & Storage Expertise: Strong understanding of asset and storage management processes.
Commercial Valuation: Experience in assessing tank storage capacity and investment proposals from a profitability perspective.
Investment Verification: Ability to critically evaluate optimisation ideas, balancing risk and return.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to optimise storage utilisation, profitability, and value creation through data-driven analysis.
Negotiation & Decision-Making: Proven skills in negotiating and deciding on internal versus external capacity allocation.
Technical Proficiency: Confident in using relevant data tools and systems to support decision-making.
Language Skills: You are fluent in English to collaborate effectively in an international environment; German is a strong plus.
