Our client is a leading brand known for its strong, durable adhesives that bond a wide range of materials including wood, metal, stone, ceramic, foam, and glass. Its product lineup is ideal for DIY or home repairs. Their other brand, specialises in skincare products designed to heal and hydrate extremely dry, cracked skin. Their non-greasy, fast-absorbing creams and balms are highly effective, especially for people exposed to harsh conditions such as manual labourers' and healthcare workers.

About the role:

Reporting to the Marketing Director Europe you will be responsible for managing critical marketing activities to increase brand awareness and support retail marketing activities.

You will specifically focus on the Benelux and Italian markets.

You will assist in the development of marketing materials and brand expansion initiatives in Benelux and Italian markets for DIY, Mass (Grocery, Craft, Stationery), Builders Merchants and online. Working to support our distributors to ensure our products reach a wide audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and support sales initiatives and executions around new product launches, core brand and product retailer initiatives and advertising strategy.
  • Develop consumer and trade literature and materials to support planned and ad-hoc initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of launch plans for new product innovation, new product consumer positioning and business strategy around strategic retail and in-market initiatives.
  • Take ownership of smaller NPD projects from project establishment through to launch.
  • Develop and manage all marketing communication materials for retail customers and consumers for online and mailed executions. Support the Brand Manager with the development of all ATL communication materials
  • Coordinate planning & execution of digital, PR, and social marketing communication, programming and events through internal marketing department and agency partners.
  • Manage web and social platforms and partner with external agencies to monitor and continue the engagement with consumers. Management includes content creation, planning and execution of all digital platforms and ensuring campaigns are integrated with PR initiatives.
  • Attending events and tradeshow activities as needed.
  • Serve as the brand contact for brand performance and market analytics across all channels. This includes the analysis of market performance-based data from GfK. Measure performance of marketing activities to help marketing and agency teams optimize planning and spending.
  • Manage the development and implementation of artwork for packaging and displays to ensure that top quality materials are delivered in line with specification and to deadline
  • Manage all translations for EU materials and ensure final materials are delivered as required
  • Lead weekly agency calls to progress ongoing projects

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent desirable; Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Public Relations preferred.
  • Relevant marketing experience
  • Knowledge & hands on experience of social media (Facebook / Twitter/You Tube/Etc.)
  • FMCG brand/trade marketing

  • Strong leadership skills and confidence working cross functionally with colleagues at all levels to manage and complete projects.
  • Results oriented approach with a proven ability to execute projects from start to finish, working through functional and business barriers as needed.
  • Strong team- player - able to effectively participate and motivate others working within a team environment.
  • Organized and able to multi-task in order to manage and balance multiple projects at one time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present to all levels within the organization as well as customers.
  • Demonstrates the ability to be analytical and creative when needed.
  • Retail experience within grocery &mass merchandising distribution channels
  • GfK/Nielsen/IRI analysis experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft
