Assistant Manager, Central, Southern and Eastern Europe (Frankfurt)

We are looking for an officer who would undertake data analysis and generate insights for STB’s three European Regional offices, to inform and support strategic decisions. In addition to this primary scope, the officer would also support office and administrative operations, as well as training coordination and knowledge management.

Note: This is a 15-hour per week role, 3 days a week , based in STB Frankfurt office .

What you will be working on:

This role includes the following key areas of responsibility:

  • 1) Undertake data analysis and generate insights for STB Europe, to inform and drive organisation strategy. (Primary work scope)
  • 2) Support office and administrative operations for STB Frankfurt
  • 3) Support training coordination and knowledge management for STB Europe

The role would involve working closely with team members from STB’s three European Regional offices, and other relevant internal teams in STB Headquarters.

Details of scope of work:

Data analysis and generate insights for STB Europe (Primary role)

  • Gather and analyse market intelligence data to generate insights on key European markets, including market and travel outlook, target segment assessment, factors affecting travel preferences/behaviour, spending behaviour, and other relevant market indicators.
  • Provide recommendations to inform and shape our strategy, to sharpen our targeting and more effectively drive consideration and travel to Singapore amongst key European markets.
  • Prepare monthly reports on key tourism performance indicators and target tracking for STB Europe, including doing data and competitor analysis for identified key markets and target segments.
  • Support STB Europe for various corporate planning platforms, by preparing the required data analysis and insights and presenting them in a clear and effective manner.

Office and Administrative operations for STB Frankfurt

  • Oversee office leasing administrative contracts (such as travel agency contract, staff travel insurances, payroll agency, etc) which are renewed annually
  • Oversee the service delivery of vendors to ensure smooth office operations, and liaise with STB headquarters for all IT related work in the office. Procure and maintain office and pantry supplies (where necessary).
  • Assisting the office with tender and audit processes and ensuring proper documentation and audit trail for transactions and procurements
  • Point of contact for STB Frankfurt general email and telephone line

Training coordination and knowledge management for STB Europe

  • Support overall staff training programs in coordination with STB Human Resources department and other relevant internal teams
  • Manage information and knowledge retention using available digital tools (e.g. intranet, repositories)
  • Manage any internal and/or external audits
  • Manage staff welfare activities (such as team retreats) 1-2x a year

What we are looking for:

  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis and insights, including preparations of reports.
  • Proven track record of generating actionable insights and providing effective recommendations that contributed to corporate strategies
  • Ability to present data and analysis in a clear and effective manner
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (in both German and English)
  • Familiarity with office management and contract management
  • Organised, conscientious and independent worker who can be flexible and adaptable to changes in environment
  • Able to follow-up on tasks in a timely manner
  • A strong team player who is collaborative in nature
  • Showing good business acumen, analytical thinking and judgementWorking effectively within STB to achieve results
  • Working effectively with stakeholders outside STB
  • Serving with heart, commitment and purpose
  • Being innovative and learning continuously

Note: Candidate must have a willingness to travel for group/regional planning sessions where required (estimated 2- 3 times a year).
