Overview

RTL Group is looking for an Associate Controlling and Investments (m/f/d) in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The Controlling & Investments department supports the RTL Group Executive Committee, primarily the CFO, in the strategic management of the global RTL Group. Its key tasks include analyzing the performance of portfolio companies and evaluating investments, divestments, and strategic business initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

Prepare the strategic controlling of RTL Group, including the preparation of Executive Committee and Board of Directors meetings, and support in capital markets communications.
Conceptualize and deliver Group performance updates and ad-hoc analyses covering monthly actuals, forecasts and budget and translating complex financial data into actionable insights for decision-makers.
Conduct the long-term planning and budget planning of RTL Group and provide in-depth analyses to the Management and Board.
Contribute to capital markets communications by coordinating and preparing inputs for quarterly reports and investor presentations in close collaboration with other headquarter departments.
Monitor market developments and peer performance to benchmark RTL Group’s positioning.

Your Profile

Excellent university degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, ideally with a focus on finance or accounting.
Around 3-5 years of professional experience in financial controlling or consulting, also through internships.
Experience with financial reporting in a publicly listed company is a plus.
Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail, high commitment, and sound business judgment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, a team-player mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, businesses, and territories.
Advanced skills in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluency in English, proficiency in German and/or French language is a plus.
