What you do as an Associate Director Advisory Group Germany (MCF/ Data Centres)

As an associate director you are responsible for client relationship management, team development, resource management and project excellence. You are focused on client satisfaction, proposal oversight and management of opportunities and leads. As a member of the advisory group management team, you are jointly responsible for the performance of the whole advisory group. You are multitasking daily combining your role as associate director with your current role being involved in projects as a discipline specialist.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic leadership : leading strategic initiatives, translating advisory group objectives into actionable annual plans, driving change within your team, and fostering strong collaboration with other Advisory Groups in the Business Unit Mission Critical Facilities;
  • Projects/ proposals : taking the lead in project and proposal management, proactively ensuring proposals readiness, closely monitoring project health, and stepping in as project director as needed;
  • Clients/ markets : driving client engagement and satisfaction, exploring new business opportunities, collaborating closely with business development in the global leading market Data Centres, and enhancing our service portfolio for various markets, including brownfield and greenfield projects;
  • People management : overseeing team alignment with market needs, development of staff through continuous feedback and training, efficient resource management across business line borders, and handling HR matters including annual reviews, performance management, and staff welfare within your team;
  • Financial controls : responsibility for financial oversight, aligning project budgets with project managers to ensure cost‑effective project execution. Contributing to the attainment of business plan and budget targets in revenue, added value, and operating.

As our new Associate Director Advisory Group, you will become part of the Business Line Industry & Buildings. You will work in the business unit Mission Critical Facilities and report to the Director Advisory Group MCF Germany & Poland.

The engineering/ consultancy part of the advisory group MCF Germany & Poland consists of 70 colleagues spread out over our Warsaw and Frankfurt office. The advisory group has a broad client base consisting of a range of the largest datacentre companies worldwide. It consists of international, experienced, and solution‑oriented project managers, design managers, consultants and engineers who have experience with large‑scale, multidisciplinary projects. Our goal is to achieve higher productivity and lower operational costs for our clients through technical and digital optimisation. Together with our clients, we place projects in a broader perspective. We have a sharp vision on the challenges and developments in the Global Leading Market Datacentres.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the points below:

  • International data centre project experience;
  • Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Structural engineering or Project Management and/or equivalent level due experience and courses;
  • You are client centric, market focused and capable of using data‑driven solutions;
  • Cultural (international) and organizational sensitivity;
  • Capable of collaborating in a multidisciplinary way, working together with other advisory groups within the Business Unit, as well as other teams within Haskoning;
  • Lead by example with your work ethic and daily presence in our Frankfurt office.
