Automation Engineer (fmx)

Responsibilities

• Be a key member of the Automation Team and bring no- / low-code workflow automation expertise.
• Collaborate closely with the team on process automation system integration, API integrations, and CRM enablement.
• Deliver fast: scope, prototype, test, and ship production-ready workflows with monitoring and alerting.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reusable automations.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of selected flows (operations reliability, observability, cost control).
• Establish and maintain guardrails, templates, naming standards, and best practices.
• Support departments through consulting, office hours, enablement documentation, and clean handovers.

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of experience or multiple internships in workflow automation, system integration, CRM operations, or related areas.
• Hands‑on experience with workflow automation tools (e.g. n8n, Airtable, Retool).
• Practical experience with API integration and data modeling; confident using JavaScript and working with relational databases.
• Proactive and solution‑oriented; able to balance speed with quality and security.
• Experience with testing, error handling, retries, versioning, and production operations.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain complex topics clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Quality mindset with awareness of security / governance (RBAC, secrets management, data classification).
• German language skills are an advantage, not a must.
