We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer with experience in the medical device industry to support cutting-edge projects across Germany. This freelance opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in regulated environments and are passionate about improving manufacturing and testing processes through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and validate automated systems for medical device manufacturing and testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs
• Develop and optimise PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
• Support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation for regulatory submissions
• Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems to ensure minimal downtime and high product quality

Requirements:

• Proven experience in automation engineering within the medical device or pharmaceutical sector
• Strong knowledge of control systems, robotics, and industrial automation software
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulatory requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Fluent in English and German
• Based in Germany or able to work on Germany-based projects
