🚗 Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive (12-Month Contract)

📍 Remote or Hybrid (Düsseldorf) | 💰 Premium Rate for Hybrid Option

Are you ready to drive innovation in automotive technology? We're looking for a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join a cutting-edge team developing next-generation solutions for 32-bit Automotive Microcontrollers. This is a 12-month initial contract with the flexibility to work fully remotely, or in a hybrid model based in Düsseldorf — with a premium rate offered for hybrid candidates.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support and develop software solutions for classic AUTOSAR MCAL
• Contribute to the definition of new software products and assess market needs
• Bridge embedded software with hardware solutions, tools, and customer requirements

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication skills and a self-organized working style
• Fundamental knowledge of embedded microcontrollers
• Comfortable using software development infrastructure/tools (Jira, GitHub, etc.)
• Fluent in English (German a plus)

✅ Must-Have Experience:

• Automotive software drivers and environments (AUTOSAR)
• Programming embedded MCUs in C/C++
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity)
• Basic understanding of hardware design principles
• Experience with customer negotiations and issue resolution
