AWS Data Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Stellenbeschreibung:

Are you a data engineer, excited about building data products?

We're seeking an experienced candidate to join our data team to be part of the foundation for SoSafe's data-driven future, in one of Europe’s most successful cyber security startups. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and transforming raw data into actionable insights that power our product and drive business growth.

Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

  • Build, maintain, and improve reliable data pipelines and supporting infrastructure that enable day‑to‑day analytics and product use cases.
  • Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering partners to deliver well‑defined, data‑driven solutions.
  • Contribute to the data platform by implementing established best practices for data reliability, performance, and security.
  • Help expand access to data by working on scalable and secure data delivery mechanisms.
  • Support data pipeline reliability through monitoring, alerting, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team rituals, with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Respond to data‑related support requests, investigate issues, and follow through to resolution.
  • Write and maintain clear documentation to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Continuously learn and grow your data engineering skill set, with exposure to new tools and patterns used by the team.

What makes you a great fit:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering

Hands‑on exposure to data platform work, including:

  • Data pipelines and orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
  • Infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Cloud data platforms on AWS
  • Familiarity with event‑driven or streaming architectures is a plus
  • Execution‑focused and dependable in delivery, with strong motivation to learn data platform and infrastructure topics.
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders, handling support requests, and following tasks through to completion.
  • Values documentation, clarity, and maintainability in both code and processes.
  • Clear communicator who collaborates well with teammates and is open to feedback and growth.
  • Proactive, curious, and adaptable in a fast‑moving environment.

Why Us?
