Job Overview
We're seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our team and help launch and maintain a state-of-the-art cryptocurrency exchange platform. You'll work with a nearly-complete Python-based system, focusing on platform maintenance, payment integrations, and mobile app development. This is a unique opportunity to work in the exciting intersection of cryptocurrency, fintech, and emerging markets while contributing to a platform that will serve the Latin American market. You'll be working with modern technology stacks, open-source codebases, and cutting-edge financial technology in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance an advanced crypto exchange platform built on Python
• Integrate the platform with various payment partners and financial service providers
• Develop and maintain iOS and Android mobile applications that support the exchange
• Provide ongoing engineering support and optimization for the live trading platform
• Work with open-source code to implement new features and improvements
• Collaborate with a distributed team across multiple time zones
• Ensure platform stability and security as the exchange scales

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience, with Python expertise highly preferred
• Proven experience in mobile app development for both iOS and Android platforms
• Background in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or financial technology strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively with existing codebases and third-party system integrations
• Full-time availability with flexibility for remote work
• Experience with payment system integrations and financial APIs is a significant plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills for working with a distributed team
